About Canter Safari
A Canter is a specially designed open-roof vehicle operated under the supervision of the Forest Department. Each safari is accompanied by a trained forest guide who ensures safety, provides wildlife information, and helps visitors understand animal behavior and the ecosystem of Ranthambore.

Safari Timing & Duration

Safari Zones
Ranthambore National Park is divided into 10 safari zones. Canter safaris usually operate in selected zones based on availability and Forest Department allocation. Zone selection cannot be guaranteed in advance.
Visitor Guidelines
- Follow all instructions given by the safari guide.
- Maintain silence during the safari.
- Do not litter or disturb wildlife.
- Photography is allowed, but flash photography is prohibited.
- Wear comfortable clothing and carry sun protection.
